Specialization and research interests : 
Nicolas specializes in the religious and cultural heritage of the Korean Peninsula and the history of North Korea.
  
Education and scientific activity:
• Doctor of social sciences in the field of political science (Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences). He speaks fluent French, Polish and English. He speaks German at an advanced level. Nicolas is also close to an intermediate level in Korean.
• Since December 2012, assistant professor at the Institute of Mediterranean and Oriental Cultures of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.
• Secretary of the editorial office of the scientific journal "Acta Asiatica Varsoviensia".
• Author of five reviewed scientific monographs and three books for the public.
• Author of many scientific articles, e.g. for "Acta Asiatica Varsoviensia", "Hemispheres", "International Journal of Korean Unification Studies" (South Korea), "Mondes Chinois" (France), Parallax: Journal of International Perspectives (United States), Pouvoirs (France), Studies Humana, The British Association of Korean Studies, etc.
• Nicolas gave specialist lectures at the SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies) in London, at the University of Tübingen, etc.
• Speaker at numerous conferences (France, South Korea, Romania, Hungary, etc.).
• Nicolas is also a graduate of the workshop program entitled Korean Unification for Junior International Experts organized by the South Korean Ministry of Unification.
• For research purposes, he visited a dozen of times North and South Korea.
