DR TEODOZJA RZEUSKAResearcher in the Research Center for Mediterranean Archaeology PAS since 1996. Since September 2015 she is a Director of the Institute.

Specialization and research interests:

Egyptian society at the turn of 2nd and 3rd century BC – everyday life and burial customs; trade contacts with the Middle East. Egyptian ceramics, mainly those of Old and Middle Kingdom.

 

Academic activity:

She is participating in the works of the international missions in Egypt: in Saqqara, Asyut, Luxor and the Theban Necropolis. She is cooperating with the German Archaeological Institute in Cairo. As a part of the mission on Elephantine she is in charge of the “Ceramics of the Middle Kingdom” project.
Since 2006, Dr. Teodozja Rzeuska has been teaching in Giza Field School – the institution under the auspices of the American Research Center in Egypt, where she teaches ceramics to the Egyptian inspectors from the Supreme Council of Antiquities.
Dr. Teodozja Rzeuska has been residing for some time in Berlin and working at Freie Universität Berlin as a laureate of the “Columbus” program organized by the Foundation for Polish Science.
