H. Meyza started the cooperation with the Polish missions in the Mediterranean  in 1986 as a participant in excavations Kom el-Dikka in Alexandria. The results of his research are illustrated in the seventh volume of the Alexandrie publication series. In Egypt, dr Meyza also participated in the research conducted by the Polish Mission in Tell Atrib, where he was studying the processing of Roman age ceramics. Since 1987 he has been taking part in the excavations in Nea Paphos (Cyprus). Ceramics from that post became the major area of his research interests. Since 2008 he is in charge of the excavation works on that site.

Dr Meyza has also been working on other sites explored by Polish missions: in Palmyra and Marina el-Alamein. His research on ceramics also included material from Kourion and Delos, where excavation works have been conducted by foreign expeditions. Currently he is co-coordinating, together with dr Peignard-Giros, the international research project on the topic of sigillata ceramics in the area of Pergamon.
In 2009 dr Henryk Meyza was granted  the E. Majewski Chairman of the 1st Faculty PAS award.
