Dr. Massimiliano Nuzzolo has been awarded a Sonata Bis grant funded by the Natonal Centre for Science. The project entitled "Sun Temples Project. Religious spaces, ideological patterns and social dynamics of constructing the sacred landscape in Third Millennium BC Egypt" will be carried out at the Institute. Congratulations!

IMOC PAS is planning to establish a new research unit – Centre for research on the reception of the heritage of ancient Near East and Orient.
The launching of its activity will be celebrated with a short conference entitled “Perception of the old Orient. State of research and research perspectives”. It will host researchers from several academic institutions, who will share results of their work. They will present, among others, innovative projects which build upon both the Antiquity and the modern contexts, dealing with the countries of classical Antiquity, Near East, Central Asia, India, reaching as far as Japan. The conference will be held on 26th Feb. 2020 (Wednesday), from 10 a.m. to 15:40 p.m. in Staszic Hall (no. 166). Interested participants are kindly invited to join us.
